Hiatus
I have to be on hiatus for this week. I am at my parents house and they don't have the internet...yes, it's true, they live without the internet, so check back on Sunday for some Jentry updates and pictures with her Grammy and Grampy!

2 month doctor visit and pierced ears
Today Jentry had her 2 month visit with Dr. Miller and it went well. She now weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces and is 21 inches long!
Jentry didn't know what was about to hit her when we arrived at the doctors office, she was sleeping away.
The 3 shots Jentry was about to receive.
She was a trooper through all 3 shots and even let the nurse hold her after the shots. She had 3 neon bandaids on her thighs :(
After we left the doctor's office we went to the mall and Jentry got her ears pierced...again she did great and her mommy was very proud of her!
Jentry was worn out after all of that poking and prodding, when we got home she ate and now she's zonked out! She is awefully precious...but I guess I'm a little biased :)
Warm Spring Day
This Saturday was a beautiful day in Central Indiana and I needed to tend to our yard in the worst way. I was so glad when my cousin Katrina called and said she was stopping by...needless to say what I think she thought was going to be a short visit ended up taking about 3-4 hours after I got tons of yard work done and even a shower too!!
Jentry got to spend some time outside too but she stayed covered under her net that has SPF 50 protection for her :)
Katrina brought her college roommate Carrie with her and they got to experience a little slice of caring for my Jentry! Thanks girls!!! It was so nice of you guys to come and watch Jentry so I could get a little yard work done.

2 months old already!
I can't believe it was 8 weeks ago yesterday that Jentry came into this world. She has made big strides in her short 8 weeks. Her accomplishments include gaining 2 pounds and passing the 7 pound mark. Growing out of newborn diapers and clothes.
Sleeping in her crib instead of her carseat or bouncy seat. (Even if she needs a wedge, her wubbanub and a stopper pillow to keep her on her wedge...stinking acid reflux)
Finally enjoying her bath time.
Jack and I are so proud of our baby girl!
Happy Easter!
We were able to visit my family in Northern Indiana for the first time since Jentry was born over Easter. It was so nice to finally get to show Jentry off and to have them each hold her :) Jentry had a cute Easter dress that my friend Liz let us borrow and an adorable Easter outfit that my cousin Jill sent for her, the bunny butt is part of that outfit.
Jentry and her Great Grandma Wyse...their birthday's are only 3 days apart.
Here are our Easter pics, Jentry was an angel in church...she slept the whole time.

Jentry's Wubbanub
Jentry uses her pacifier at night, however she sometimes wakes up when it falls out of her mouth. So about 2 weeks ago I went searching for an answer to this "problem" and much to my surprise there is a solution! The solution is called Wubbanubs. Jack and I picked out a penguin wubbanub for Jentry, and Jack bought one online for her last week. We had to buy it online because there is only 1 store in Indiana that sells them and it is up in the region. Jentry likes the pacifier they gave her at the hospital and that is the type of pacifier that is attached to wubbanubs so this seemed like a good solution to our problem. This is a life saver for those nights when she spits her pacifier out because her penguin keeps the pacifier close to her mouth so she can find it again...or if it falls into the crib I can find it with my eyes half open in the middle of the night. In the picture below you can see her penguin wubbanub.
PS I will post some pictures from Easter tomorrow!

Burns Family Pictures/Jentry's Easter Pics
Last Sunday we met Jack's family down in Greenwood to have family pictures taken. Jack has a brother and a sister and they each have families too, there is a 2 year old, a 1 year old and Jentry, so you can imagine the fiasco to get a good picture of all of us. I was really impressed with the photographer, she captured many good pictures of the entire family as well as each individual family. Here is the whole family picture.
This is our first picture as a "family"
Jentry slept the entire 2+ hours we were there. She didn't even wake up when we put her in this bassinet to have her Easter picture taken!

Tummy time with Daddy
The other night Jack got down on the floor and helped Jentry enjoy her tummy time. I love these pictures of them together, if you were here you would know that she loves her Daddy as much as he loves her!
Daddy showing Jentry her toys
Daddy and Jentry having a "conversation"
PS Today Jentry is 7 weeks old!! Yes, that's right, she's been in the world 7 weeks already!

Jentry goes to Church
Now that Jentry has passed the 6 week mark we are finally allowed to take her to "crowded places" such as church. Jack and I were ready to get back into the groove too, so on Saturday afternoon we went to our normal 4:30 service. I figured since it was Jentry's first trip to church we would dress her up a bit. In fact in order to make Mimi (my mom) happy I put her in one of my old dresses, needless to say it is 2 layers and has buttons so I don't think Jentry will wear it again, but here are the pictures of our first Church outing.
Notice the silly Bonnet that goes with this dress. I didn't have Jentry wear that thing, I just put it on her to take pictures. I can't believe in 1979 my mom made me wear this frilly thing!

Yes, those are very dark circles under my eyes...I was exhausted on Saturday, Jack was awesome and got up early with Jentry on Sunday and let me sleep in! Thanks honey :)

Another Jentry Achievement
Jentry had another achievement yesterday. She is officially too long for her newborn sleepers! Finally we have moved up to 0-3 month clothes :) Yay! Jentry can still wear her 2 piece newborn outfits (the pants are a bit short, but she doesn't mind!) but has moved to her 0-3 sleepers. She gained 10 ounces this past week! We are so glad that she is growing! Jentry has also moved out of newborn diapers...she can still wear them, however she also fits in size 1 diapers so I think we will move up to size 1 when our newborn diapers are gone.
