I am just checking out mobile BLogging. if i can learn how to do this then maybe i can post more often!

Sleepy baby!

Yesterday Jentry was enjoying her tummy mat while I did some "work" on the computer...I'm sure I was looking for new things to go with the new stroller Jack just bought us...but I'll consider that "work" :) Anyhow, as usual I didn't hear her grunting away so I looked down at her and this is what I saw...My baby girl fast asleep! I guess it was nap time :) After I took these pictures I moved her from the tummy mat because I didn't like her sleeping on the plastic window...I was worried she might suffocate...probably silly since she had her hands under her head, but I didn't want to risk it! I'm not sure how this was even comfortable, but she didn't squawk, she just fell asleep!

Jentry's First Baseball Game

Today Jack and I took Jentry to her first baseball game! We went to the Indianapolis Indians afternoon game with our friends Susan and Scott. We sat in the lawn and Jentry slept most of the game. It was very warm today but there was a nice breeze so it was great in the lawn! We even got to see "free" baseball as the game went into the 10th inning and the Indians won on a nice base hit, 2-1 was the final score! Here are a few pics from the game.

Another New Toy!

The other day I decided that Jentry is big enough for a "door jumper" so I was on a hunt to buy one! Thank Heaven Daddy agreed that it was a good idea :) However since we don't think she will be using it for very long we agreed that buying a used one would be perfect! So off I went to Once Upon a Child to see if they had any...and I really, REALLY want an all-terrain stroller (aka jogging stroller) so I had other motives as well! Anyhow, I found a jumper that is in good condition and used a coupon to get it for less than $15...that was a steal since they are over $30 at Babies R Us! Anyhow, on with the story here!! Jentry got to try out her jumper today and she liked it! It was nice to have her upright while I worked on the laundry! I don't think she knows what to think of the carpet on her feet, but she was really cute in the jumper! Here she is, notice the pile of laundry behind her...ugh...it never stops around here!

Summersalts???

The other day Jentry was enjoying some tummy time using her boppy to help hold her up while I was in the back of the house folding laundry...when I heard her really working hard I walked into the living room to find thisMy daughter using her little legs to push herself right over the top of the boppy and onto the floor! She is a strong little girl :) I won the mom of the year award when I let her stay like this while I took pictures!!

Happy Father's Day

Today Jack got to experience his 1st Father's Day! Jentry woke up a happy smiley baby for him and left his present hidden for him to find. Her card was waiting for Daddy as I was out of town for the weekend and wanted him to look forward to opening his card when Sunday rolled around...so it was on Jentry's changing table with strict instructions not to open it until Sunday! Anyhow, after I got home we enjoyed lunch with Jack's Dad, Jack's brother Jimmy and his family at Jack's Dad's house. We then came home and Jack showed me how to play the new yard game that Jentry bought him for Father's day. It is called washers and he had been telling her that he wanted it so she made sure it was waiting for him today! Man she's already a thoughtful little thing :)
PS Happy Father's Day Dad...I hope you enjoyed fly fishing today :) We love you!

4 months old

Today is Jentry's 4 month birthday and to celebrate we got to go see Dr. Miller and Jentry got 2 shots :( I hate shot days because it is terribly hard to hear your baby scream and know there is nothing you can do and the shots are necessary. Anyhow, we made it and she is soundly sleeping in her room now. I must say I am very happy to report that she now weighs 11.5 pounds and this puts her between the 5% and 10% on the charts...yep, you read that right, we are ON THE CHART!!! Yeah!! We've waited 4 months for her weight to reach the chart so I am very happy with that news. Also, she is 23 1/2 inches long and that puts her in the 25%...I'm guessing we might have a tall girl when it's all said and done. This past Friday I had her 4 month pictures taken, I wanted to surprise Jack with new pics of his little girl for Father's Day, so here are a few of them posted for your enjoyment :)

Congrats Drew!

Last weekend my "little" cousin Drew graduated from high school. Unfortunately Jack wasn't able to make it up North for Drew's open house, but Jentry and I made the trip. It was so nice to see my family especially since we live 3 hours from where they all are and we don't get to see them as often as we would like. Drew even held our Jentry for this picture! Thank you Drew! We are so proud of you and what you've accomplished in your HS career, we know God has big plans for you in the next 4 years!! Cleveland State won't know what hit it when you arrive! We love you!

Flying at night

If you have read any of my earlier posts you know that Jentry sleeps on a wedge at night. Well, she has gotten so long that we have had to change the way her wedge sits in her bed and now in order to see her mobile she has to use her neck muscles to lift her head to look at it. It looks like she is about to take off, this picture isn't great, but you might get the idea if you've ever seen her wedge before.

Jentry's sock "shoes"

When Jentry was about 2 months old, my good friend Ian bought her some sock "shoes" and yesterday we put them on and they fit and were so cute. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of her in her sock "shoes" She was fast asleep and didn't even know I was snapping shots of her!

Jentry enjoys her bumbo seat

I've been waiting for Jentry to get big enough to sit in her high chair and her bumbo seat. I got out her bumbo yesterday and tried it out and she sat in it happily for 30 minutes! After that I got the box out that her high chair was in and Jack and I put that together and it is ready for her first meal...we used the bumbo for her rice cereal today but will move to the high chair soon!

Our first rice cereal experience

Today I fed Jentry rice cereal with a spoon for the first time and I must say she LOVED it! I didn't know what she would think...she knows the taste of rice cereal from her bottles (it makes them a little "heavier" so she doesn't spit up from her reflux) but we hadn't tried a spoon yet...after calling some of my friends and family for a poll as to when they started their child or children on rice cereal I decided today was a great time to try it. Jentry was 15 weeks old this week and what better time...so here are a few movies of her eating her rice cereal! Enjoy :)

If you can't see the videos here we have them on our home computer also so if you're ever over we can show them to you! I'm also going to add a picture of her after her first rice cereal meal.

She can fly...

Well...she might think she is flying when she is on top of her Daddy's tummy! I couldn't resist taking these pictures this past weekend. Jentry and Daddy were having a good time together!

Our Riley Visit

Today we visited Dr Darragh, Jentry's Cardiologist at Riley Childrens Hospital for a check up on Jentry's SVT and murmur. They were still able to hear the murmur but barely! And everything else with her heart seemed ok. Dr. Darragh never seems too concerned with Jentry's heart which is good. We are to keep giving her digixon and return for another EKG and check up in 3 months. I guess that means things are going well. Oh...and we've passed the 10 pound mark and are 3 inches longer than when Jentry was born!!! Yay! I promised some pictures so here are a few that were taken this weekend...Jentry finally fits in her John Deere outfit that Mimi and Pop gave her for Christmas! We've been waiting FOREVER...or 15 weeks for this :)

Back to work...

Last week I headed to Jack's office to work for a few days a week. It was terrible to leave my princess Jentry...but my friend Liz says it will make it a little easier to actually go back to my "real" job in August. We are lucky to have family to watch her a few days a week and great friends from MVHS to watch her a few days a week. We really appreciate the hours these people are giving up to keep an eye on our little Jentry while I supplement my lousy maternity leave income! It is a blessing! Thanks guys...we love you! Sorry no pictures...but I will have some when I start work in August...and I have some from this weekend but I'm tired so I'll post more tomorrow :)
