Peas Please!

We started Jentry on "real" foods this past week...we had been doing rice cereal and oatmeal cereal but we finally moved on...so peas was her first food...and she loved them...here are some pictures from the first peas experience. After peas we have moved on to Squash, as you can tell, she isn't a fan however today was her first try, so we will keep on trying and see if we can't make her a squash fan too!

Florida

Last week we had the privilege of taking a vacation with Mimi and Pop...that is Jenna's mom and dad. We flew from Chicago to Sarasota and then rented a mini van and drove to Fort Myers Beach. SVT Prayers Requested

I was going to blog about our Florida vacation, but I feel this blog is more important today.


I saw this post on The Blissfully Happy Housewife's blog and had to post about Baby Stellan too. Many of you know that SVT is a heart condition that is close to The J Squad as our baby girl was born with it. Baby Stellan is in grave condition from SVT, you can read all about what he is going through on his mama's blog here. Be prepared to cry...I sat on my living room floor and the tears streamed down my face. I don't know if I'm more sensitive to this because this could very easily be my baby girl or if it saddens me that a little 9 month old baby has to endure this, or possibly it is just the fact that I can't imagine being this mother and having to hold my baby while he has had 48 hours of a racing heart and his little body is shutting down. Please pray for this baby, his family, and his Dr's. The power of prayer is AWESOME and I hope it helps baby Stellan.

5 months already!

Today is Jentry's 5 month birthday! I know I say this EVERY time another month passes...but I can't believe she is 5 months old already! We had a weight check today and she weighed in at exactly 12 pounds...I hope she gains at least another pound in the next month so that I don't get "scolded" by Dr. Miller! Anyhow...maybe you've heard that I'm a little crazy about her monthly pictures and this month was no different...today we tried the Target Portrait Studio...it was ok, but I felt very rushed as they schedule appointments every 10 minutes and their studio is TINY...any how, here are 2 of my favorites from her sitting today. She is such a fun baby! We love you Miss Jentry!
PS We are leaving for Florida so you won't see any posts for the next week...but when we get home I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to post!! I can't wait :)

The BIG 3-0!

Yes it's true...today is my 30th birthday...I've now left my twenties and have to join the world of thirty-somethings :( Anyhow, here is a shot of Jentry and I tonight...As you can see she is all tuckered out...we had a busy day, we went to stroller strides this morning and then stopped by Jack's office to pick up our new camera and then did some more packing (which meant Jentry did more Jumping in the doorway jumper) and then Nana, Angela and Ashley came over to enjoy some birthday cheesecake! Thank you Nancy for the great summer outfit! I had a great day with Jentry and was happy to spend the night with Jack and Jentry! We are all looking forward to our beach vacation!

Cousins

Jentry has 2 cousins on my side of the family and since they live in Chicago we don't get to see them as often as we would like, but when the kids get together you would think they spend a lot of time together. Here are a few pictures from 4th of July weekend. Noah is so gentle with Jentry and Millie isn't sure just what to think of her! However we know the girls will be good friends in a year or 2 since they are only 6 months apart!

10 Years!!

I just wanted to post a little congratulatory note to my AWESOME husband who celebrated 10 years with his company last week. I am so proud of him for the hard work he puts in to help keep BB&A running smoothly. This past weekend we enjoyed a family picnic with the other employees from BB&A and they recognized Jack for his dedication to the firm with a cake, banner and plaque of appreciation. It was a beautiful day and it was nice to see Jack recognized for his hard work.

On another note, Jack couldn't get the camera to work either so he is working on getting us a new one!! I really liked the old one but since we can't fix it we have to do something before we leave for the beach! I told Jack that the old camera can be his "fish" camera, that way if he goes fishing and ruins it I won't be upset!

ARGH!!!

I just arrived home from a week at my parents house and I sat down to blog tonight and realized that our digital camera is broken :( The "ok" button is pushed in and I can't get it out. I am really mad right now and I hope Jack can fix it when he gets home...but if not we will be buying a new camera asap because we leave for Florida soon and we have to be able to take pictures of Jentry on her first airplane ride and first trip to the beach. Ugh I am so ticked! Well...no fun blogging for me tonight...darn it! Guess I'll go to bed and try this again tomorrow! Anyone know of a good digital camera that is small but mighty? Suggestions welcome!

New Stroller!!!

I am sooooo excited...our new stroller arrived yesterday and I immediatly got it out of the box and put it together and once it stopped raining took Jentry for a little stroll in it...and SHE LIKES IT!! Yay! Today we got to do an entire Stroller Strides class in her new stroller and she even fell asleep. To my Jack...I know it was a little bit expensive but Jentry and I love our new BOB stroller and we know you will enjoy pushing our little princess in it too :) Thank you so much for the awesome anniversary and birthday gift!!
