Worried about Wednesday

Just a quick post to ask for your prayers for Jentry. She has a simple ear surgery on Wednesday but they've forewarned us that she may need to stay for 23 hours because she is a preemie, has a heart condition, and is under a year old. I'm concerned about what should be a 15 minute surgery...I know that tons and tons...millions and millions of children, if you will...have had tubes inserted into their ears...but none of those was my precious Jentry so I feel like I'm allowed to worry about her. Anyhow, by the time you wake up on Wednesday (Except you Aunt Kathy) Jentry should already be out of surgery. Do our family a favor and send up a little prayer for her before you retire on Tuesday night and I'll post as soon as I can after surgery is over to let our readers know of the outcome!

Thankful for...

Jack and I are thankful we got to spend 4 straight days with our baby girl, and celebrate her first Thanksgiving with her. All of these 1st's are flying by. We are so thankful that she is being weaned off of Digixon and her heart seems to be beating normally, with no signs of SVT. We are thankful that we have awesome families who would do anything for us and/or Jentry. We are thankful for our wonderful friends who have given up their time and energy to help us in our times of need over the past year. We hope we have been good friends to you too! We are thankful for our good jobs and warm house. We are thankful for the food that makes it to our table each evening. We are thankful for many, many things but these are just a few.
We are pretty sure Jentry is thankful for Baby Tad who helps her fall asleep...along with many other things...this just happens to be one of the sweetest pictures we've captured of her in a while! She was tired after enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with the Burns' clan :)

Apparently she is also thankful that her living room is full of places for her to explore, she has found a few of them. Here is a picture of her getting into one of the cabinets of the entertainment center...oh boy...I guess we need to "crawler" proof this place :) Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent?
I'm thankful Jack doesn't get too much time alone with Jentry...as you can see he lets her put DOG toys in her mouth...YUCK!!! What in the heck was I doing while this was going on you might ask....I'm pretty sure I was helping my Mom buy Jack's Christmas gifts online...and this is the thanks I get for picking out some great gifts for him...nice! BTW, honey. I'm just kidding...but really...dog toys...that is gross!

Anyhow, I am thankful for a wonderful husband and precious little girl and the awesome gifts these 2 are to my life. God is good.

Beautiful Pictures

On Sunday a co-worker of mine came over to our house and took Jentry's Christmas pictures. Well, the ones I want to use for our Christmas cards this year at least...needless to say Mary took beautiful pictures of Jentry and now I'm having a hard time choosing which ones I like best to use for the card...ugh! Anyhow, here are just a few of them to wet your tongue...I don't want you to see them all or our cards wouldn't be any fun :) Enjoy these awesome pictures taken by Mary. If you would like to use her check out her website www.wix.com/maryrager/photography and tell her The J Squad sent you :) Ok, enough chatter, here are a few of the pictures!

9 months...

NINE MONTHS...can you believe it's been NINE MONTHS since Jentry was born? I can't believe it! We had her NINE MONTH doctor appointment with Dr. Miller today and Jentry weighs 15 pounds 15 ounces...she is one ounce from 16 pounds! Still only the 10th percentile for weight...but at one point in her life she wasn't even on the growth chart. I'm so happy with her growth...remember she weighed a mere 5 pounds 2.9 ounces when she was born...so she has gained 10 pounds and 12 ounces since she was born NINE MONTHS ago! She is getting to be such a big girl! This month she started to reach for her Mommy and Daddy when she wants to be picked up, the Jumperoo is on the final setting and she is quickly becoming too tall for that toy, we've retired the swing and Bumbo seat, in fact at school Miss Monica and Miss Sam said that she just crawls right out of the Bumbo! Silly girl :) Jentry gets up on all fours and will rock back and forth...she crawls err scoots backwards and then hollers when she gets stuck and can't move anymore. She is so silly, Jack and I enjoy EVERY minute we get to spend with our Princess. Jentry also knows how to hold her own bottle however, she is too lazy to do so and she knows Mommy or Daddy will hold it for her so she won't hold it for herself! Jentry still doesn't have any teeth but I just know they are coming...she chews on everything! In fact we had to go shoe shopping again because she has learned to take off her shoes. They had velcro and as soon as you put them on her she would take them off and chew on the velcro. So we bought her some gold Robeez...she hasn't learned to take these off yet...instead she just sucks on them! We have finally moved to jars of 3rd foods and Jentry is doing well on them, she still eats in a fury each time she's in her high chair. Jentry has also started to feed herself cereal puffs. Mommy and Daddy like to cheer for her when she hits her mouth with her little fingers and actually gets a puff in there. Miss Sam and Miss Monica said that when she sees her pink lunch bag come out of the fridge at daycare she gets all excited! I love that she knows her own bag :) When we go to leave for the day she likes to carry the pink bag to her car seat...I think she's attached to the bag...we might have a little Vera fan in the making seeing that her lunch bag is Pink Cupcakes by Vera Bradley Jentry has finally grown out of her acid reflux and at NINE MONTHS is finally sleeping in her crib and still sleeping through the night :) She is the best baby ever!!
I just asked Jack what else Jentry has started to do this month and he said she scrunches up her nose and makes funny faces at him...this face is very funny...she sorta looks like a piglet. We love it! But I haven't been able to capture it on film just yet....maybe that will have to be our next post!
Well...we've officially made it NINE MONTHS...that is longer than she was in my womb! She's officially been alive longer than I was able to carry her. Jack and I love to watch her grow and explore each and every day. She is a super cute, very happy, extremely content baby and we couldn't ask for anything else.

Daddy and Jentry playing and Crazy Hair!

I know...you are thinking 3 posts in one day...what is going on here...well the truth of the matter is that I just don't have time to post during the week so once I do have time I want to post about multiple things :) So here is post #3 for today...now don't expect anything from me for a while! Daddy and Jentry enjoyed some play time this evening and I thought you might enjoy seeing how happy Jentry is when she is with her Daddy. She LOVES her Daddy! Once Jentry and Daddy were done playing it was bath time. My cousin Betsy took some adorable pictures of Jentry getting a bath while she was here. I can't wait to have those uploaded so that I can post them on here! But for now you will have to enjoy pictures of her crazy hair! She has lots of hair and Jack and I thought these pictures were pretty funny, so I wanted to post them. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.Looks like her hair is almost long enough for some hair ties...bows maybe :)

Jentry's 1st Halloween

My cousin Betsy came to visit this past weekend and took pictures of Jentry's 1st Trick or Treating experience however they are on her camera...so as soon as she sends them my way I will make sure to upload some of them. For now, enjoy these pictures Jack took of Jentry with her Nana and Aunt Angela on Halloween. She is an awefully cute bear!Nana admiring her cute little bear Jentry and Aunt Angela...I think Jentry wanted out of her bear costume!Jentry's bear costume was very warm, so after Nana got to admire the adorable bear Daddy was sure to take it off and put some comfy PJs on Jentry :)

Enjoying A Fall Day

Last weekend The J Squad joined Jack's dad and his friend Deby in Brown County for a wonderful Saturday afternoon. Jack and Jack Sr. wanted to eat at the Nashville House, I wanted to go to the Life is Good and Bare Feet stores and Jentry was happy to chill in her stroller! She was a trooper as usual and we had a great day! Thank you Jack Sr and Deby for joining us in BC!A sleepy baby enjoying the ride in her stroller in her new "snow" suit from Mimi and new hat Mommy and Daddy bought her at the Life is Good store!

PS...I forgot to mention that Jentry got to see Mimi and meet all of her WOW friends while we were in Brown County...they were there too having their annual fall getaway! Mimi's friends all woooooed over Jentry :)
