Colorful Quilt
I just wanted to post real quick about a beautiful "new" quilt we are sleeping with right now. I say it's "new" but I think it was made quite a few years ago. My Grandma Wyse gave us this beautiful handmade quilt for our wedding gift and I was saving it...but if it is always put away and "saved" no one would ever get to enjoy it's beauty...so I got it out and put it on our bed.
I've read many e-mails about "saving" the favorite china or that special dress for a certain occasion and sometimes that occasion never comes. I didn't want that to happen with this beautiful quilt that my Grandma gave us, so we are going to enjoy it. I must say I love the colors in it and it really brightens up our room! Thanks Gram :)
Merry Christmas!
Two nights ago we started celebrating Christmas at our house...by going to Christmas Eve Eve service at our church. We went to the 7:30 service knowing that it might spell trouble for Jentry who is normally sleeping at that hour...however she was very good during the entire service! Here is a picture of her in one of her Christmas dresses...
Last night we enjoyed Christmas Eve with Jack's family. We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed opening gifts and getting to see everyone.
When we got home from the Burns' Christmas it was time to get ready for Santa to come and visit...we put out cookies and drinks for Santa. As you can see our Santa is very thirsty!

Jentry fell fast asleep and stayed asleep all night...Santa didn't even disturb her when he arrived to have his drinks and cookies and leave her gifts.Jentry with her new outfit, busy ball popper, alligator piano, and music table. She likes all of her new gifts!! Yay! Another first...Jentry's first Christmas...and I think it was a success :)

Ugh...I'm so bummed
I'm so bummed that I missed posting on Jentry's 10 month birthday. If you must know there is a reason. Why? You might ask...Well I'll tell you. On the 17th of December Jentry fell ill with her first fever ever :( She woke up with a temp of 100.5 and a faucet of thick yellow yuckiness coming from her nose. Needless to say this Mama stayed at home and got her to the Dr. that day. Dr. Sprunger gave us an antibiotic and checked her out...praise the Lord her ears were not the problem! Those tubes must be working. However when she woke up after her afternoon nap I could tell she was boiling so I took her temp again and it had spiked to 104.5. Again, this Mama freaked out and called the Dr.'s office. I felt 20 minutes was long enough time for them to call me back so I then rang our Dr. on her cell phone (She doesn't work in the office on Thursdays) again thank God we have a stellar Dr. and will accept calls or texts at any time. If you live on the North side of Indy Dr. Lisa Miller and her staff at Northside Family Care are the most wonderful set of Dr's/staffs in the world!
Anyhow on with the story, Dr. Miller said this is normal and we needed to get some Motrin for Jentry. Jack picked that up on his way home from work and her fever went down...only to go back up again in the middle of the night to 103.5. So on Friday Jack stayed home with her, held her, played with her and had some good Dada time! She continued to run a fever until about Saturday afternoon...during her nap her fever finally broke and stayed down.
I don't have any pictures of my sick baby, but I don't know that anyone wants to see her like that anyhow!
On a side note I want to wish Mimi a Happy Birthday today. We are glad you are in town so that we can spend your special day with you!
Jentry, Mimi and I will be visiting Santa for her 10 month pictures. I think baby girl is finally feeling well enough to finally make that visit! I hope she smiles for him!

Oh man...she's growing up fast!
I don't have any pictures for you but I need to blog these 2 memories...
Story 1 - This past weekend on Sunday Jack and I discovered Jentry's 2 bottom teeth are coming in! We've been waiting the better part of 10 months for these teeth to pop through and now it's here...and there are 2 of them coming in at one time.
Story 2 - Today I was back in the bedroom changing clothes, Jack had just arrived home from work and was headed back to the bedroom to change too. He attempted to get Jentry to crawl down our hall to the bedrooms...he started to walk down the hall and then turned around to see if she was following him when he came upon another milestone...she had pulled herself up at the coffee table and was standing proud as could be. She just became really good at crawling and now she's already started to stand. Time with her is flying by. I'm looking forward to spending 2 full weeks with her in 7 days . I need a break from my students and need quality time with our baby girl. I can't believe her first birthday is just around the corner :( That thought makes this momma sad. This past 10 months has flown by!
I will try and get some pics of her soon...but I don't think you will get to see her teeth for a little bit, she doesn't like to show them and doesn't want anyone putting their fingers in her mouth...usually she is too busy with her own fingers in her mouth!

Princess in Pigtails Poses for Pictures
Well to be totally honest she didn't pose while she had pigtails in her hair...she actually had a pony tail the day that she posed like a model for some early morning pics. So anyhow...here she is in pigtails and then the next morning posing for the camera in her mini skirt and pony tail!!

Just posing like a supermodel in my mini skirt, pink tights, and kickin' boots! My mommy knows how to make me look super cute :) Thanks, Mommy!

NO MORE MEDS!!!
Oh yes...it's official Dr. D at Riley Children's Hospital officially took Jentry off of her SVT medicine! I asked him if we will need to continue to put her heart condition on her medical records and he said yes, technically she still has the condition and we would want a doctor or surgeon to know that it is possible for her to go into SVT but is very unlikely. We are so excited to have our little princess off of all medication. What a wonderful day. Jentry is 9 1/2 months old and for the first time ever she won't have to have medicine when she wakes up in the morning. I don't think she will know what to do. She has grown to love her lime flavored Digixon and smacks her lips while you give it to her. This Mom won't miss having to precisely listen to my baby's heart 2 times a day and making sure to get the beats per minute correctly. I am so glad that we don't have to administer any more meds! Praise God :)

Helping with Laundry
If Jentry is awake when I need to do laundry I usually take her back with me. Just recently she has started to become aware of what I am doing and has started to crawl to the dryer and to try to get a hold of anything she can to chew on. This past weekend Jack took these adorable pics of her "helping" me!
At the dryer working on kneeling...
Got them...now to get back off of my knees....
Good thing I've got this diaper on to soften my fall! Hey Dada...next time how about you help me out instead of taking pictures of me??!!??
Made it to her knees...now working on getting that pair of Daddy's boxers!
And she's off...
Oh yes, our Jentry is crawling...but only if she sees something that peaks her interest. If you leave her back in the hallway and tell her to "come on" she will just look up at you and holler, that is too much work for her...but if there is something she wants, such as the computer or outlets or the camera she will crawl...and if she's tired...she will even beat her head on the floor in the process!?!? Enjoy this little video of her working on her crawling skills. If you have speakers turn them up, it's pretty funny to hear her squawk :)

Without a hitch...
that is...Jentry's surgery went without a hitch!! She was a perfect patient...in fact so perfect they let us go home in about 4 hours instead of keeping us for 23 hours like we were originally forewarned. When Dr. Bojrab walked in and said that he was going to be Jentry's anesthesiologist both Jack and I breathed a sigh of relief...Jack grew up across the street from Dr. B and we both know he has been administering anesthesia for a long, long time and he is very good at his job. God gave us Dr. Bojrab today for a reason! He knew this Mommy was very apprehensive about sending her princess away into the waiting arms of a team of Doctors for this "simple" surgery...but when Dr. B walked in I felt much better about the arms that would be waiting for Jentry. Her surgery took about 15 minutes and then she had about 15 minutes of recovery before they brought her screaming back to Jack and I. I could hear her coming down the hall and I looked at Jack and said..."that's Jentry" that screaming is the best sound in the world...that meant that she made it through surgery and woke up just fine and there weren't any problems with her heart at all during the procedure! Dr. Bojrab even talked to the Dr who performed the surgery, Dr. Isenberg, and told him that he didn't feel that Jentry needed to stay 23 hours!!! Yea!! Here are some pictures from today.
At home, all ready to leave for the hospital.
Daddy with Jentry right after recovery...this picture was actually taken in the dark and Jentry's face is very red, she was MAD when she came out of recovery.
Mommy and Jentry after her nap on Daddy's chest.
Jentry at home playing as if nothing happened to her today!
