Madness Pure Madness...
Today Jentry and I, along with my school friend Susan ventured to Fort Wayne to go to the annual Vera Bradley sale. It was a VERY LONG day of standing in lines...5 hours or so...and a short day of shopping...only about 1 hour...I was not impressed with the sale this year. To be totally honest I was very bummed that I wasn't able to get a large duffel bag for Jentry. However I must say my princess was PERFECT today. She happily sat in her stroller for many hours and was an angel! We came home with only 4 bags and one of them is for her! She loves to carry it around and it's very cute! Here she is in her high chair waiting for dinner with her milk and her new Vera bag! Gotta love it! We left our house at 6:45 this morning and didn't arrive back home until 7:30 this evening...so she looks a little rough and that's why :)
**I hope you enjoyed the 5 updates today! That was the latter part of April for us. My plan is to do a better job in May...but don't hold your breath!**
What does it take...
for you to get comfortable at night? For Jentry to was her feet propped up on her bumper, her bear knocked over, her pacifier nice and close, and her head half covered with her blankie. Jack captured these two pictures the other night after I went in to see her and told him he had to check her out too. Jentry was still sick and it apparently took quite a bit for her to get comfy. Poor baby :(
When your sick...
It is very important to stay hydrated! Jentry has discovered our Tupperware cabinet and found the water bottle I used when I was pregnant with her. The other day when she was at home sick, I gave in and let her drink from the mini water jug. She made a big mess, but was so happy drinking away...and she was getting lots of water, which was the most important part of this whole ordeal!

Jentry Update
I don't have any pictures but I do have an update on our little princess. Jentry has been sick since last week. It started with some nasty ear gunk that I decided was an ear infection and started her antibiotic drops...this quickly morphed into an eye infection and on Friday she was put on a oral antibiotic along with an eye drop...thank you Mimi and Pop for taking good care of her this past weekend.
When we arrived home on Sunday Jentry's second ear infection appeared in her other ear. ARGH...and she had a slight fever. Of course mom of the year gave her some Motrin and sent her to daycare on Monday...and of course I got a call about noon letting me know that Jentry had a fever and needed to be picked up...so I finished out my day, let the school know that I would be taking Tuesday off and headed to get the princess...by Monday night Jentry had a fever of 103 degrees. I quickly called Dr. Miller and she wanted to see us. So in we went...and Dr. Miller agreed that there was definitely infection in both ears and she put Jentry on a stronger antibiotic and also asked me to call our ENT to get Jentry in there, since Jentry already has tubes in her ears...so I called the ENT and found out they couldn't get Jentry in until May 19.
Tuesday arrived and Jentry was still with a fever of 102 degrees...it would go down with Motrin, but as soon as the drug wore off, the fever returned. Needless to say Dr. Miller sent me a text message to see how Jentry was doing and when we were going to see the ENT. I replied to let her know that Jentry still had a fever and we couldn't get in to the ENT until May 19...she asked for his number and called him personally! Wowzers, did this cause some quick action! Needless to say Jentry saw our ENT today at noon.
Nana came to our house and watched Jentry today so that I could go back to work. I really appreciated that and she was able to meet Jack for Jentry's ENT appointment today at noon. Needless to say, Dr. I our ENT agreed that there were issues with her ears, he sucked out the pus and set her up for another surgery. So our princess is set to have a bigger set of tubes put in her ears and her adenoids removed on May 19...our original date to see Dr. I. It amazes me that it takes a phone call from another Dr. to get the ball rolling with a sick kid.
Jentry had her tubes put in early in December and has been nothing but sick since. It has been very frustrating for Jack and I and we are hoping this is the answer to our prayers. We just want a healthy baby girl...she is an incredibly happy girl...now we just want her to be healthy...so we are asking that you join us in praying that this is the answer to her health problems.

First Hair Cut!
I took a personal day on Friday and didn't go to work. I had a much bigger task that needed to be accomplished...Jentry's First hair cut was scheduled to take place. She turned 14 months old yesterday and her hair was in her eyes and growing funky in the back, so Jack and I decided that it was time to have her hair cut. I made an appointment for 10am on Friday April 17th and was hoping to wake Jentry from a nap and head to Cookie Cutters for her hair appointment. Well things didn't go quite as I planned...she didn't nap, and that is apparent in these pictures. She was not happy to be getting a hair cut, but it is super cute and she looks like a big girl!
Jentry sitting in her car waiting on her stylist to be ready.
Jentry's stylist working hard to get the perfect cut. Jentry wasn't sitting all that still, even with Baby Einstein on the TV in front of her, but her stylist did a great job!
All done! Doesn't she look like a big girl?

Happy Easter!
We had a little Easter egg hunt in our house for Jentry. Daddy hid the eggs and Jentry found them. Here are a few pics from the hunt :)
We also know the reason for the season at The J Squad. However it is terribly hard to try and explain that to a 13 month old! We will keep working on that :)

We're Back!
Now, hopefully you noticed that I said "relaxing" that is because before we left one of the wonderful Doctors at Northside Family Care agreed that Jentry was sick so he put her on a short course of an antibiotic. She had a fever of 102.5 on Friday at daycare. I thought "let's go on vacation anyhow" I know I'm mom of the year...I win that award often! Anyhow...we arrived in Branson and continued to give Jentry Motrin to keep her fever at bay, but I also think she is in some teething pain. Well...on Tuesday Jentry developed a rash all over her body and she was extremely lethargic. She took a 2 hour nap, woke up for about 10 minutes and went back to sleep for 2 more hours. I was very worried that she was having an allergic reaction to the Motrin. So I dressed her and we headed for the Urgent Care center. When we arrived we were told that they don't see babies under 18 months. That was ok, we just needed to know where the ER was. Luckily it was just around the corner. So off to the ER we went. I must say the ER at Mercy Hospital in Branson, MO is the fastest ER I've ever been to in my life! We were in an out in less than an hour! Needless to say, Jentry is not allergic to Motrin, but must have just had a heat rash. She was diagnosed with a respiratory infection and given another antibiotic.
This is a picture from the truck on our way home of Mercy hospital!Wednesday morning she woke up and had gunk coming from her ear...mind you these ears were clear on Tuesday night...I don't know how ear infections just pop up, but for her they do! So I kept cotton in it and on our way home I made an appointment with our doctors at Northside Family Care. Needless to say there is a lot of gunk in her left ear and we are now on an antibiotic drop for that. ARGH!
Anyhow, back to our vacation. We had great weather and stayed in a beautiful place in Branson called Stormy Point Village. Jentry and I even ventured to the pool one day while Jack enjoyed some fishing. I forgot to pack swimming suits for Jentry and I so we had to purchase some. Here is Jentry in her new suit.
Needless to say we had a great week and really enjoyed having time to spend just the 3 of us, away from the hubub of our jobs and the day to day grind.
