Just like my Mommy

On Sunday morning Jentry climbed up on the couch with me and we enjoyed a Dora episode together...I love when she wants to cuddle!

A Card from Mommy's 4th Hour Class

My 4th period class did the sweetest thing while I was away tending to Jentry this past week. They knew she was having surgery and also knew it was her birthday...so while I was gone they made her a huge card. One side of it says Get Well and the other side of it says Happy Birthday. Each student wrote her a little message! They also included $4, multiple suckers, band-aids, and some chewies. She absolutely loved the card and quickly informed her Mommy that the money was hers. She wanted to put it into her bunny bank so we did just that :) Being a new teacher and having a class do something this sweet made my heart very warm. I was on cloud 9 when they said they had something for her! Happy 2nd Birthday Princess!

On Jentry's actual birthday she opened presents from Mommy and Daddy and ate dinner with her family and Nana and her cousin Ashley. Mommy even baked her a birthday cake! Jentry had learned from Pop how to blow out the candles and she did just that all by herself on Thursday! I was shocked. Somehow I missed getting any pictures of Jack putting together Jentry's new easel and there aren't any pictures of her playing with it...but she sure does love it!

Surgery Day

On February 16, 2011, Jentry had surgery for the 3rd time in her short little life. She had to have her adenoids removed again and her sinuses irrigated. She was a brave little girl and did a great job at the surgery center. Everything went great and she is now home and happily sleeping in her crib. It's my Party...

On February 12 we had Jentry's 2nd birthday party at our house. It was just a small gathering with family. She was very shy once everyone arrived. She was surprised by her cousin Noah showing up with Mimi and Pop and got to enjoy opening many nice gifts. She had a great time at her party and has enjoyed playing with all of her new toys...and I'm looking forward to putting her new outfits on her in the Spring. Morning Routine

As Jentry approaches 2 her morning routine has changed a little bit. She still gets up around 6:00, but now she likes to lay in bed with Daddy for a few minutes before going to the "big girl" potty and then getting dressed. After she is dressed and has her hair done she gets her cereal bar and a cup of juice and then finds her La-Z-Boy to watch a bit of Dora before Daddy takes her to "school" Now many of you know that I am not a big fan of her watching TV, but we have come to the conclusion that 20 minutes of Dora, one time a day isn't going to corrupt her too much or cause her to be a couch potato, so anyhow, here she is enjoying some juice and a bit of Dora!

Hiding from Daddy

2 weeks ago Jentry found a spot under the table to hide from Daddy. He coaxed her out at one point because he had Blackie, her black lab stuffed animal, she took Blackie from her Daddy, ran to the table, threw Blackie under the table with all of her other animals, her pillow, and one blankie and crawled under there and laid down. We got quite a kick out of her. Jentry had never done this before.

Looks like a BIG GIRL!

Jentry got this outfit for Christmas and I just LOVE it! I think it makes her look like such a big girl. The jeans are wide legged with 3 jewels at the bottom of each leg, and a cute cloth belt around the waist...for some reason I think the pants just make her look so grown up.

Not sure what I want to be...

Jentry isn't sure what she wants to be...she goes from a hippie to a thug with the change of a hat...on this day she was in a Detroit Thug mood. Her momma thinks she's cute no matter what hat she is wearing :)
