Beautiful Flowers!
Ok...so this isn't about Jentry at all (in fact she screamed the entire time I planted! Turns out she just didn't want to be in her bouncy seat...spoiled I tell you!)...but I'm proud of my handiwork so I had to share it! This morning Jentry and I headed to wal-mart to buy some formula and a few other things and while I was there I decided to make it a one stop shopping trip instead of traipsing to Lowes too...so we purchased flowers and mulch too...and then we went home and I planted my little heart out because it is supposed to rain here any minute! Also, take note in the larger circle of bricks around our tree...Jack did that for me yesterday...Thanks Honey!
All of the work I did...mulched in front of the house, planted by the side of the house and around the tree.
Around our tree I planted purple and white wave petunias and yellow marigolds (I gotta keep the darn bunnies away!)
On the side of our house we have an eclectic mix going on at the moment. There is still a tulip in bloom, so I left it! I love tulips. Then we have a peony that has yet to yield a bloom...but I know one is coming one of these years! We also have hyacinths that are dying...hope they make it next spring. And today I added red geraniums and yellow marigolds!
Finally...all by myself I spread 3 big bags of black mulch around our hostas and bushes! Hopefully I did it right!! Jack...can you check on that when you get home :)

So...she's not perfect...
PS...she is really funny when she cries because she squaks then stops and looks around then squaks some more...we sorta laugh at her...nice parents we are :)

11 Weeks Old
Yesterday Jentry was 11 weeks old! I can't believe it's been 11 weeks already!! It is so crazy to think that I've made it 11 weeks as a mom and haven't hurt her or done something completely stupid. If you know me at all you know that I was totally freaking out about becoming a mom...but I must say that I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job...especially for having a baby girl born 5 weeks early and weighing 5 lbs. She has almost doubled her weight!! That's right, we have to be close to 10 pounds by now...and she is a happy smiley baby. I love talking to her and having her smile really big at me...I know she loves her mommy :) Anyhow, enough of me bragging about my baby girl...I took this picture yesterday, it was the first time I noticed that she was in her swing and actually watching the bugs above her, she is becoming more alert everyday!

I HATE ALLERGIES!!!
I just had to post really quick to mention that I really hate allergy season! I get shots every week for them but missed the past 2 weeks and I'm unhappily feeling the effects of not having my shots...my nose is stuffy and my throat is scratchy...Jack is feeling the effects of the tree pollen too...and we've noticed our baby girl must have allergies too :( She sneezes and coughs and is congested too. I feel so bad for her. Needless to say I HATE ALLERGIES!

Our visit to Mimi and Pop's house
This past week Jentry and I were at my parents house in Southern Michigan. This was my first long trip with Jentry. We rode home with Mimi and Pop and then Jack came to pick us up on Friday. We had a great week. Here are a few pictures of our week.
Jentry's Great Grandma Kauffman holding her while she sleeps.
Mimi with Jentry at her office. We visited Mimi's school 2 times and everyone there thought she was too cute!
Jared and Casey with Jentry...don't they look like a cute family! I'm sure some day we will have pictures like this with their real kids...but for now they got to enjoy a little time with Jentry.
We also visited Pop's office and the ladies there thought Jentry was adorable too...they each had to hold her. I didn't get any pictures of my dad holding Jentry, but I do have a little story about it. On Thursday night it was just Pop, Jentry and I at my parents house and I was getting ready to eat dinner so I gave Jentry to her Pop and proceeded to eat. While I was eating Jentry started to cry...needless to say my dad thought it was a "scared" cry and thought Jentry was scared of him...I don't think this was the case...but maybe this just means Mimi needs to share Jentry with him a little more!
It was so nice to get to see my family this past week...especially since we live 3 hours away and they don't get to see Jentry very often. We were able to visit with 4 of Jentry's great aunts, Marla, Verda, Joy and Kathy, all of her great grandparents and Mimi and Pop...Jentry and I also traveled to Ft Wayne and went to the Vera Bradley sale on Wednesday. I wish I had pictures of that, but Jentry was such a good girl, she slept in her pack on my chest the entire time we were there!
