Carving Pumpkins 2010

This year we let Jentry enjoy the process of carving pumpkins with us. She thought getting her hands in the pumpkin goo was so fun and giggled through out the entire process! The pumpkins we chose were big enough that Jentry's entire arm went down inside in order to get to the fun pumpkin goo. Jentry wanted to use the same tools Mommy was using...thank heaven we have a few carving sets! She had so much fun with the goop scraper :)When she couldn't get enough goo sitting on Mommy's lap she stood up to get more leverage and more goo!Our finished products. Jack carved the spider and web because Jentry LOVES to hear the itsy bitsy spider sung over and over and over again! I carved the easy face and it still didn't come out all that well :(
Our Jack's all lit up! I love to see the finished product!

Our Bumble Bee Bzzz Bzzz

For Jentry's 2nd Halloween we decided to dress her as a bumble bee. She likes to say Bzzz Bzzz when asked what the bumble bee says, so we thought this was the perfect costume for her.
Check out her stinger! Careful or she will sting you!Jentry went trick or treating with her 3rd cousin Princess Leia...better known as Sophia. They were quite a sight!
Enjoying some fully loaded juice her Great Aunt Kathy gave her when she trick or treated at her house!

Picking Pumpkins

One Saturday in October 2010 our family went to the pumpkin patch at Stony Creek Farms to have our family pictures taken and pick out our perfect carving pumpkins. It was a beautiful fall day and we had a great time at the pumpkin patch.
Riding with Mommy and Daddy on the hay wagon to the patchSearching for the perfect Pumpkin to carve into our Jack-O-LanternDaddy and Jentry with the chosen ones...pumpkins that is!Mommy walking next to Jentry as she rides on the Pumpkin train!

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch. Looking forward to next fall and our next trip to the patch :)

Silly Saturday

Jentry has days when she does some silly stuff! This one Saturday in particular she emptied all of the books out of one of her bins and thought it would be a good idea to use it as a place to sit. We love enjoying her silliness!Notice the books spread all around the bin she is sitting in? Those are the books that were IN the bin before she got a hold of it :)Smiling pretty for Daddy!

The Park

Since Jentry had such a good time at the parks in Chicago, Jack and I thought we should take her to one by our house. It was a beautiful day here this past Friday so, we did just that! She did seem to enjoy our park as much as the ones in Chicago, but we didn't have a teeter totter or a spring horse :( We need to keep searching for a park that has those toys too! Even without these toys Jentry still loved being at the park. She didn't want to leave. When we arrived Jentry was a little timid so I went up the ramp to the play equipment, she followed right behind and the rest was history! Here she is crawling through a tube toward Daddy!Jentry loves to swing! I think she would have sat for hours if we would have let her! She just giggles and giggles!
Jentry also enjoyed the many slides this park had to offer. I think she went down most of them.

Key West

After a rough summer of unknowns and then the luck of me landing a wonderful job, last week Jack and I were blessed to enjoy our first vacation without the Princess. Jentry was in good hands since she stayed with my brother and his family in Chicago, and as I've already posted had a wonderful time with them. We were so happy to have all of the daily updates from my sister-in-law, it made being away from Jentry much easier.

We enjoyed many of the places that Jimmy Buffett sings about in his songs. That was fun for us, now we can imagine exactly what/where he is singing about :) I wanted to share some pictures of our wonderful vacation to Key West. So enjoy!Jack and I posing at the Southernmost point of the Continental United States. From this point it is only 90 miles to Cuba!Jack and I on our mode of transportation for the duration of our stay in Key West...loved the tandem bike for the week, just not the LONG ride to the grocery store!Jenna standing atop of Fort Zachery Taylor. I think this picture Jack captured is pretty cool! One of the Coast Guard ships from Key West. We actually think this one might have been a museum, but we didn't check it out :)A picture of just one of the tons of Roosters that roams Key West. If you didn't know...I hate birds. I did not like the fact that these creatures were just roaming free all over the place!Jack and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Louie's Backyard. It was some of the best food we've had! Well worth the money if you ever go to Key West. We went to Mallory Square to watch the sunset one night and this is a picture Jack was able to take. I think this scene is just beautiful!
This was the sunset on our first night in Key West, again just a pretty picture.

Jentry's Chicago Visit

Jentry spent the past 5 days in Chicago with her Uncle Jon, Aunt Tonya, and cousins, Noah and Millie. From the pictures we received while we were on vacation in Key West, it sure looks like she had a fabulous time with the Kauffman family! Here are the pictures of her stay in Chicago...Wow, she is one spooky mummy! Gotta love this picture taken by Noah...after all he is only 4!Enjoying her pizza lunch!Enjoying her 1st carnival ride ever! Can you believe she got on this ride without a fight and loved it!!Noah pulling the girls back to the car after a long hot day at the pumpkin patch!Millie showing Jentry one of the many airplanes that flies over her house in Chicago.Aunt Tonya took Noah, Millie, and Jentry to the park each day. Jentry got to enjoy lots of fun toys. She liked the teeter totter. Jentry also got to enjoy some unseasonably warm weather while she was in Chicago! She also enjoyed riding on the spring horse. I guess we need to get our booty's to the parks around Central Indiana!By the end of the week Jentry and Millie were becoming good friends. Hopefully this carries on throughout the rest of their lives! I absolutely LOVE this picture of these two beautiful toddlers!

Uncle Jon and Aunt Tonya - Thank you for letting Jentry invade your house for the past 5 days. It was so nice to go on vacation and not worry about Jentry. We owe you :)
